On October 25th, 2016 around 8am, I arrived at the new Highland Birth Place in Shreveport, Louisiana. I absolutely love the new wing of Christus Schumpert Hospital. Its very large rooms and spa like aesthetic makes for a comfortable stay and photogenic for us birth photographers. Ashley looked like a movie star the entire day. It is truly amazing that this is now her fourth child, yes fourth! Ryan and Ashley decided since it was their fourth child that they would wait until the birth to see what the gender was... Ryan was really adamant that the baby was going to be a girl! Although some other family members for sure thought the baby was going to be a boy.. We took a fun count on the wall dry erase board to cast our votes and it was about split. A few hours later Ashley was finally ready to push.. still smiling the entire time. A couple of pushes and Dr. Kerry Tynes revealed that it was a GIRL! The expressions of Ryan's face were ecstatic! The entire room cheered in happiness that dad got what he wanted. A little girl named Ryan-Palmer Templeton.. Here she is...
