Realtor Headshots in Dallas
I photographed Ashlyn Rust of Christie's International Real Estate for a full set of realtor headshots and branding images, and this one was a little different for me, because I am an agent at the same brokerage.
I love it when someone from my own brokerage hires me. It means they have seen the work and they trust it, and I get to sit on both sides of the desk at once: the photographer making the images, and the realtor who knows exactly what those images have to do once they leave my computer.
What a Realtor Headshot Actually Has to Do
A realtor headshot is not really a portrait. It is a sales tool that happens to have your face on it.
It lives on your business cards, your yard signs, your listing presentations, your brokerage profile, your Instagram, your Zillow and Realtor.com pages, and the bottom of every email you send. For a lot of people it is the very first impression of you, formed before you ever speak a word. It has to read approachable, capable, and current, and it has to do all of that in about one second.
Which is why the cropped phone photo from a wedding in 2019 is costing you more than you think.
Two Outfits, One House, a Whole Library
We shot this session inside a modern home so every frame has real estate in the background instead of a seamless backdrop. That is the point. An agent's photos should look like the world they actually work in, not like a corporate ID badge.
We moved through the house on purpose. A stone fireplace against a fluted wood wall, a black steel doorway, a bright living room with big windows, the wood-paneled dining room, the marble kitchen island. Two outfit changes, one sharper and one softer, so there are options for different platforms and seasons without booking another session.
What you actually want to walk away with: verticals for Instagram and Stories, horizontals for your website banner and email signature, tight frames for the headshot slot on your brokerage profile, and full-length images for listing presentations and print. All from one afternoon.
I'm a Realtor Too, and It Changes How I Shoot This
Being an agent myself means I am not guessing at what you need. I know your brokerage has a specific crop for your profile photo. I know your listing presentation template has a slot for a full-length image. I know you need something that still looks like you in eighteen months instead of a trend you will want to redo.
I also know how genuinely uncomfortable most agents are in front of a camera, and that the fix is direction, not somebody telling you to relax.
Book Realtor Headshots in Dallas or Austin
I'm Whitney, a brand and portrait photographer in Dallas and Austin, Texas. Realtor headshots and agent branding sessions are some of my favorite work I do, whether that is one agent, a team, or an entire office that needs everyone's photos to finally match.
If your headshot is more than a couple of years old, or you have been cropping yourself out of a group photo to use as a profile picture, let's fix it. Get in touch and we will find a beautiful house and knock it out in an afternoon.
